OUR WORK
City of District Heights
Website Redesign

Our Challenge
Fresh off a rebrand, the City of District Heights needed a website that could carry its new visual identity with the same vibrancy it promised on paper. The existing site fell short of that energy and created friction for residents, particularly older community members who relied on it for essential information. The city needed a digital front door that felt as alive as its new brand while staying simple enough for every resident to navigate with confidence.

Hex5 Digital
Our Approach
Smartistic joined Hex5 Digital as design lead, translating the city's new geometric motif into a flexible system of masks, pop-out imagery, and pattern applications at varying scales to bring dimension to every page. Accessibility and ease of use guided every layout decision, with a particular focus on making the site intuitive for older residents. The team prioritized information architecture that put the city's most-used resources within a single click of the homepage.

Our Solution + Impact
The result is a website that reflects the full vibrancy of District Heights' new brand while remaining genuinely easy to use. Residents can now reach popular resources without digging through menus, and the geometric identity system gives the site a distinct, dimensional feel across every page. The city gained a digital presence that finally matches the strength of its new visual identity.
