OUR WORK
Bishop's Smash Burger

Our Challenge
Bishop’s Smash Burger, based in Harrodsburg, KY, needed a rebrand ahead of their Juneteenth relaunch. The owner—returning to his hometown to offer something fresh in a food-scarce community—wanted a brand identity that honored that journey. The goal: keep their original mascot, Bishop, but update the visual identity to reflect good food and good vibes. With just six weeks, the project had to balance nostalgia, cultural relevance, and small-town pride.

Brand Identity
Our Approach
Over the six-week timeline, we developed a visual identity that balances nostalgia and modernity, community roots and cultural flair. The existing mascot, Bishop, was given a refreshed look full of personality and was reimagined for easier use. We selected fonts that evoke classic Hip-Hop style, while the color palette featured bold, saturated tones supported with patterns and visual elements that feel nostalgic yet fresh. We also designed supporting assets across packaging, signage, and social media.
Our Impact
The rebrand launched during Bishop’s Juneteenth celebration, energizing both loyal customers and new visitors. It positioned the business not just as a place to get a great burger, but as a cultural staple in the making—one rooted in community pride and Black creative influence.
